- Holiday Running Series (Reindeer Run 5K)
The Reindeer Run is the fourth and final race of the Holiday Running Series, held at Aberdeen Festival Park. The USATF-certified 5K is fast and flat; it starts at 8 a.m. with the 1 Mile Fun Run at 8:05 a.m., which suits kids and families. Everyone gets a custom finisher medal and race t-shirt and is entered in the holiday costume contest, so dress up. Results are chip-timed, age-group awards start at 9 & under, and a portion of proceeds benefits the National PTSD Foundation. Organizers say the race often sells out.
