Halloween is over and your porch pumpkins have seen better days. On Saturday, November 14, from noon to 4 p.m., Plum Creek Nature Center near Beecher lets families pound them to a pulp, roll them into a heap or drop them over a railing, then add the pieces to the compost pile. Roast free hot dogs and marshmallows over a campfire and warm up with a drink from The Bean Wagon Coffee Co. Free, all ages, no registration.
