A hands-on baking class for children ages 6 to 12 at the Pleasant Ridge Branch Library, presented by New Leaf Kitchen. Each child makes their own frosting and then learns basic cookie-decorating techniques. The ingredients are plant-based and free of common allergens, which makes the class easier for kids with food allergies. It runs from 11 am to noon on Saturday, December 19, a week before Christmas. Registration is required and space is capped, so sign up early.
