The December session of the Pleasant Ridge Branch Library's Nature in Our Neighborhood series looks at how nature gets ready for winter and recaps the year's highlights in Kennedy Heights Park. Participants dissect owl pellets and look for signs of the park's resident great horned owls. Hot cider and cookies are served. The program is outdoors from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, so dress for the weather. Meet at the parking area on Robison Road. Registration is recommended. Owl-pellet dissection works well for elementary-age children with a grown-up.
