About this adventure
Mentor Ice Arena, run by the City of Mentor, holds public open skates on its ice sheets for much of the year, with session times posted on the arena's calendar (updated monthly and subject to cancellations). On most Saturday and Sunday sessions the smaller studio rink also opens and push walkers are available first-come for skaters 8 and under; skate aids are not allowed on the big rinks. Rental skates start at toddler size 8. Every skater under 11 must wear a helmet (a bike helmet works) and children under 14 need an adult present. A separate Homeschool Public Skate session is open to the wider community. Learn to Skate, figure skating, stick-and-puck and hockey programs run here too.
