Opening-weekend celebration at the downtown Dallas holiday rink in Main Street Garden. CultureMap and the rink's presenting sponsor light the season's tree with entertainment, ice performances on the rink and hot cocoa. It falls on the second day of the 2026-27 rink season, so families can watch the skating performances and then book a 75-minute skate session the same day (tickets $18 with rental included; children under 12 skate with an adult). The organizer has a rain date: if it rains, the ceremony moves to Saturday, November 28. The ceremony start time and whether watching is free have not been published yet, so check the rink site closer to the date.
