Grapevine's historic Palace Theatre on Historic Main Street runs a season of classic Christmas films from the week before Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve, with several afternoon showings that suit school-age children over the holiday break. The lineup includes Miracle on 34th Street (1947, Friday Nov 20 at 7 pm), The Santa Clause (1994, PG, Tuesday Nov 24 at 3 pm and Tuesday Dec 22 at 3 pm), Elf (2003, PG, Saturday Nov 28, Friday Dec 18 and Wednesday Dec 23, each at 3 pm), A Christmas Carol (1951, Monday Nov 30 at 7 pm) and The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992, G, Monday Dec 7 at 4 pm). Tickets are $6 for the November 20 and 24 screenings and $10 for the others. Online sales close at midnight the night before; day-of tickets are sold at the box office from one hour before showtime. Tickets are will-call only, sales are final, and films start on time without previews. Outside food is not allowed, but a same-day Grapevine restaurant receipt earns free popcorn.
