Santa's North Pole Express is the Grapevine Vintage Railroad's Christmas train ride. It leaves from the Grapevine Christmas Market in the Cotton Belt Railroad Historic District. On board the decorated vintage coaches, Santa's elves Holly and Frosty lead sing-alongs, and Santa and Mrs. Claus come through the train. Every ticket includes a chocolate chip cookie and 'Frosty Chocolate Snow Milk' in a souvenir mug. Each family also gets one 4x6 photo with Santa at the Christmas Market General Store, before or after the ride. Children are encouraged to wear pajamas. For the 2026 season, trains run most days from November 27 to December 30. Most days have departures from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and there are no trains on December 24–25. The December 3 trains leave from Fort Worth instead (listed separately). Everyone who has turned 2 needs a ticket, and younger children need a lap-child ticket. Strollers and car seats aren't allowed on board, but there is a free stroller valet. Check-in opens 20 minutes before departure and doors close 5 minutes before. Plan to arrive about an hour early, since you'll need to park and walk in, especially on weekends when Main Street is closed to traffic. Tickets are non-refundable.
