About this adventure

Santa sets up at Golden Triangle Mall in Denton for the whole holiday season, with portraits taken by Hart and Guin Photography, the local studio that started its Santa set here. No appointment is needed: families can drop by while shopping, sit with Santa and choose a traditional portrait in holiday best or a sillier shot with props. Babies are welcome (the studio says its youngest visitor was a little over a day old), and so are grandparents. Santa takes a break to feed his reindeer from about 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. most days, so plan around that window. On Saturday, November 28 (Small Business Saturday) the mall also hosts the 2nd Annual Santa's Christmas Market, an Old-World-style holiday market with more than 40 local vendors, free to attend, with Santa and Mrs. Claus portraits from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Santa is not at the mall on Thanksgiving Day. Photo packages are sold on site; daily hours vary, so check the studio's site before a weekday visit.
