- First Christian Church of Plano
First Christian Church of Plano, east of downtown Plano on 15th Street, fills its parking lot with decorated car trunks for a free Halloween-night trunk-or-treat from 5 to 7 pm. Children come in costume and go trunk to trunk collecting candy, and the church adds games and activities for kids of all ages. It is billed as a free community event open to everyone — friends, neighbors and grandparents included — which makes it a contained, well-lit alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating for toddlers and early-elementary children. Costumes are encouraged. The event is listed on the City of Plano's Visit Plano calendar; the church's own event page is on Facebook, so check there on the day for weather changes.
