About this adventure
Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance sets aside Halloween night for an inclusive version of Boo at the Zoo for guests living with sensory processing disorders. Crowds are reduced, there are no strobing effects and extra light around campus, music is kept low (including at the Conservation Carousel and Denver Zoo Railroad), costumed characters stay in fixed spots instead of roaming, and quiet rooms and sensory kits are available. Kids still get nine candy stations, cryptid creatures, Animal Ambassadors, photo ops and seasonal snacks, plus a bag-decorating station. The zoo publishes a sensory guide and social story to prepare children ahead of time; bring your own trick-or-treat bag.
