About this adventure

The Aerodrome runs a Learn to Skate USA program, the national beginner curriculum endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating and USA Hockey, with 30-minute group classes taught by qualified coaches and grouped by age. All new skaters start in an entry class: Snowplow Sam 1 for ages 3.5–5, Basic 1 for ages 6–8 or 9–16, and Adults 1 for skaters 16 and up, so a parent and child can learn in the same evening. An 8-week course costs $216 with rental skates included, and every participant also needs an annual Learn to Skate USA membership ($20, valid through June 30, 2027) before enrolling. The fall course runs on Mondays (beginning October 5) and Saturdays (beginning October 10); Monday classes meet 6:10–6:40 p.m. Registration is online only through the rink's Dash account system, and trial classes are not offered. Skaters who finish the basics can move on to the Freeskate, hockey learn-to-skate and figure skating programs at the same rink.
