About this adventure

A half-hour lap storytime for babies up to 24 months and their caregivers in the Youth Program Room at the Greenfield Main Library, mixing songs, rhymes and short stories. The library explains that babies who are read and sung to experience the rhythm and melody of language before they understand the words, so the session models simple routines caregivers can repeat at home. Offered twice a week. A weekly toddler storytime for children ages 2 to 3½ with a caregiver in the Greenfield Main Library's Youth Program Room, with stories, music and a simple craft. It sits between the Tuesday baby and preschool sessions, so siblings can stay for back-to-back storytimes. A weekly storytime for children from 3½ through kindergarten age at the Greenfield Main Library, with crafts, stories, playtime and songs that build pre-reading skills for children getting ready for school. A mixed-age family storytime at the Greenfield Main Library for children 2 to 6 and their caregivers, with stories, songs, rhymes and movement activities. Siblings are welcome, which makes it a good fit for families with children of different ages.
