About this adventure
Clay County's Veterans Day 5K at the Orange Park Mall honors local veterans with a morning of racing, static displays, music, food trucks and veteran-support organizations. The 5K runs 8 to 10 am and welcomes strollers, wheelchairs and walkers; children 6 and under ride free in strollers and kids 7 to 12 have reduced entry. At 10:30 am Santa kicks off Santa's Family Fun Run outside near JCPenney, a free, non-competitive holiday run where Santa and other holiday characters cheer families on; costumes are encouraged, and the first 100 fun-run participants get a $10-off Santa photo certificate and a free cookie from Mrs. Claus. The fun run needs its own (free) registration. The event is a collaboration of the Veterans Council of Clay County, Clay County government and the mall.
