About this adventure
A chip-timed Thanksgiving 5K through the tree-canopied grounds of the Omni Amelia Island Resort, starting and finishing at Racquet Park next to the Nona Mia restaurant. Running or walking is fine. Children can enter the 5K with youth pricing or run the separate 1-mile Kids Fun Run (not timed) at 8:45 am, after the 8 am 5K start; awards follow at 9 am, with age groups starting at 10 and under. Part of the proceeds benefits the First Coast YMCA. Packet pickup runs Nov. 24-25 from noon to 6 pm in the Racquet Park conference room, and race-day registration opens at 6:30 am. Parking is next to the start. No animals or bicycles on the course.
