Little Explorer's Club sessions at the Museum at Prairiefire are 45-minute STEAM classes for ages 3 to 5 led by museum science educators, with a story, an activity or experiment, an artifact or animal encounter and a craft. "Fur, fat, feathers and fun": children learn how arctic creatures adapt to the cold, build their own snow globe and take home frosty facts about woolly mammoths. Classes start at 10:15 a.m.; spots are limited, so register in advance on the museum's website. The fee is $5 (free for members using their discount code), and cancellations need 24 hours' notice by email. Parents may stay in class or wait just outside, and siblings can explore the Discovery Room meanwhile.
