About this adventure
When Clark County schools close, the YMCA of Southern Nevada runs one-day Holiday Camp sessions so working families have a full day of supervised care. The Centennial Hills YMCA offers single-day camps on Nevada Day (Oct 30), Election Day (Nov 3), the Wednesday of Thanksgiving break (Nov 25), drop-in days through winter break, the Monday after New Year's (Jan 4) and Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan 18); a Veterans Day session is also listed. The Y describes the days as packed with sports, games, crafts and STEM projects built around its core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Each day is booked separately through the Y's online registration (a $45 day rate, with discounted winter-break week bundles at $99 for Dec 21–23 and $132 for Dec 28–31). There is no care on Dec 24, Dec 25 or Jan 1. Spaces are capped, so families book ahead.
