A hands-on food activity for young children at Pretend City Children's Museum, inspired by Hawai'i's ocean life. Native Hawaiian chef Charles Akau of Mila's Kitchen Hawai'i guides keiki in building an edible Hawaiian sea turtle and dolphin from fresh fruit, snacks and other kid-friendly ingredients, introducing them to food presentation and to the animals that live under the Hawaiian sea. Every child leaves with an ocean-inspired snack board of their own to eat. Sessions are at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.; the class is included in museum admission, but space is limited and the museum asks families to book tickets in advance. Suited to little chefs who love animals and snacks.
