About this adventure
A one-day winter-break camp for animal lovers aged 5 to 11 at Sugar Sand Park Community Center in Boca Raton. Each camper adopts a plush pet and learns how veterinarians care for animals through mock exams, health checkups and hands-on activities, exploring the different areas of a vet clinic, pet wellness and basic animal care, and practicing diagnosing and treating pretend patients. Campers take their plush pet home. A $10 materials fee for the plush pet and lesson materials is paid to the instructor at the start of camp, on top of registration; children bring lunch, a snack and a drink.
