About this adventure
Bradley Academy began in 1806 as Murfreesboro's first school; the current 1917 building opened in 1918 as the school for African American students. Today it is a small city museum with an original classroom and an Early Settlers of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County exhibit, a good short visit for school-age children studying local history. Guided tours run during open hours.
