Weekend family programs inspired by the Palisades: in the Family Art Project 'Revealing the Palisades' (meet at Wave Hill House, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.) families learn the geology behind the cliffs and use sand casting to create a sculptural rock formation. On Sunday, Kids on the Move! 'Rooting Down and Rocking On' (meet at Glyndor Gallery, 1:30–2:30 p.m.), led by educator Corinne Flax, moves through the grounds; recommended for ages three to eight. Another Kids on the Move ('Ecosystems & Balance') is set for Nov 15. No registration required.
