At this Mini Scientist Saturday at the Trailside Nature Museum in Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, staff show families how to use dissection microscopes, then help them use the scopes to examine the hidden features of natural objects from the reservation,. It runs from 1 to 2 pm on Saturday, November 14, and makes a hands-on introduction to lab tools for curious children. A follow-up Mini Scientist session on November 21 covers how animals prepare for winter.
