About this adventure
Harry P. Leu Gardens invites the entire family, dogs included, to spend Halloween Saturday exploring its 50 acres of gardens. Each pup receives a goody bag with its own Gardens bandana while supplies last. A Doggie Boutique with apparel, treats and toys is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and three Howl-O-Ween canine costume contests run during the morning: Spookiest at 10:00, Funniest at 10:30 and Overall at 11:00. Dogs must be registered at the Gardens before their contest, and winners receive a pooch prize pack. All dogs must be leashed and owners must clean up after their pets. Regular garden admission applies, with children 3 and under admitted free, and the event happens rain or shine. It is an easy outdoor morning for families with a dog in costume, or for kids who simply want to see the parade of costumed pups among the gardens.
