Face to Face, a Germantown nonprofit that provides hot meals and legal, medical, behavioral health, social work and education services, holds its Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning along Forbidden Drive. Both the 5-mile run and the 1-mile fun run/walk start at 9 am from Parking Lot 3 at Thomas Road and West Northwestern Avenue. Adult fees through November 19 are $45 for the 5-mile run and $30 for the 1-mile, rising after November 20; children ages 4 to 12 pay $20 for either event, and children 3 and under are free. Registration includes a bib, race shirt (sizes guaranteed until November 1), refreshments and water stations, and there are awards for the top three overall and each age bracket. Virtual versions of both distances are also offered.
