4 Peaks Racing's Anthem Turkey Trot starts Thanksgiving morning at the Anthem Community Center with a chip-timed 10K run and 5K run/walk, followed by a kids' dash at 10:00 am. The kids' dash is a free, untimed half-mile run: sign your child up on race morning to run at no charge, or pre-register online for $20 to get a Turkey Trot shirt or beanie and a medal. Families can also walk the 5K together; runners 18 and under pay lower 5K and 10K prices, and 5K age-group awards start with the 5–6 bracket. Packet pickup and late registration open at 7:00 am on race day (early pickup is Wednesday, November 25, 10 am–2 pm, at Tortoise & Hare Sports in Glendale); the 10K starts at 8:30, the 5K at 8:35 and awards at 9:45. Participants who bring a non-perishable food item for the St. Rose Food Pantry enter a raffle. The community center lot fills up, so the organizer points runners to Anthem Community Park across the bridge and to street parking on Whitman.
