Amy Bryant Aiello, author of Terrarium Craft: Create 50 Magical, Miniature Worlds, leads a terrarium-making workshop at Holgate Library on Saturday, December 19, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. She opens with a brief history of terrariums and then guides participants as they build their own tiny glass world. The library says the workshop is best for kids 8 and up with their grown-up and is for ages 8 and up, so plan on an adult working alongside each child. Space is limited (the listing notes a maximum of 20 attendees) and seats are first come, first served, with no advance registration.
