Cabot's Pueblo Museum

Hand-built four-story Hopi-style pueblo of homesteader Cabot Yerxa in Desert Hot Springs, now a museum of his collections and desert life. Three ways to visit (October 1 – May 31 schedule): a $5-per-person Grounds Tour (walk the grounds, view the Coachella Valley and two galleries; 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday–Saturday, 12 – 4 p.m. Sunday), a 45-minute Self-Guided audio tour ($13 general; 9am–2:30pm Tue–Fri, 9am–3pm Sat, 12–3pm Sun) and a 45-minute docent Guided Tour ($16 general; 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, subject to availability). Children under 5 are free; children 6–12 pay the reduced rate on the pueblo tours. Last tour entry 2:30 p.m.; online tickets available 24 hours a day.
