A San Antonio holiday tradition: groups of friends and family charter a decorated River Walk barge and sing carols as it floats through downtown. Each boat is a private charter for up to 12 people (oversized instruments count as a person) with a driver, a USB of curated holiday music and printed songbooks; everyone aboard must actively sing. Weekday caroling typically runs 5–10 pm, and exact time slots are shown on the booking site. Check-in is 20 minutes before departure at 203 S. St. Mary's St., river level under Biga on the Banks; parking is not validated. Families who do not book a boat can still enjoy the carolers for free from the riverbanks or a restaurant patio. Booking dates in December 2026: Dec 4–6 and Dec 11–23. Wheelchair-accessible boarding can be arranged in advance.
