- San Antonio Public Library – Little Read Wagon
An outdoor loose-parts play morning for babies, toddlers and preschoolers outside the San Pedro Branch Library, run by SAPL's Little Read Wagon team. Families can drop in any time between 10 am and noon; the play area is stocked with a wide variety of loose parts — the kind of open-ended materials children stack, sort, pour and build with. Some materials may be messy, so come in play clothes. It happens rain or shine. The program is designed especially for children from birth to five years old and their families. The library lists it as free with no registration required, which makes it an easy Saturday-morning outing near Monte Vista and Five Points.
