San Antonio Botanical Garden

A 39-acre botanical garden just northeast of downtown San Antonio with themed gardens, the Lucile Halsell Conservatory, Kumamoto En Japanese Garden, the Zachry Foundation Culinary Garden, trails and the Family Adventure Garden, which has a designated splash area where young children may wear swimsuits or swim diapers. Free on-site parking. Visitors may bring blankets, lawn chairs, hats, sunscreen and water bottles. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Hours change seasonally.
