The McNay Art Museum honors veterans and active-duty military with a day of free admission on Veterans Day. A veteran or service member gets in free with up to five accompanying adult family members plus their children and teens. Docent-led tours of works by veteran artists start at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm (30 to 45 minutes each), and a drop-in art activity inspired by the red poppy runs from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Complimentary coffee and infused water are served. The first 50 veterans or active-duty personnel receive a one-year Dual Family Membership (proof of service required). Registration is requested.
