A monthly nature adventure for children ages 4 to 8 and their grown-ups at Sunol Wilderness Regional Preserve. Each session starts with a short lesson in the Wilderness Room and continues with a craft or activity and a nature exploration of half a mile to two miles on narrow dirt trails with up to 500 feet of elevation change. The November 9 theme is Turkeys and the December 14 theme is Animals in Winter. Strollers are not recommended, so plan a trail-friendly carrier for younger siblings. Registration is required and spaces are limited (each date had 12–13 openings when checked), and an adult must participate.
