The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce's Trick or Treat Street invites children in costume and their parents to trick-or-treat at participating merchants in downtown Lafayette on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. The route runs along Mt. Diablo Blvd. from Lafayette Plaza to Dewing Ave, plus Lafayette Circle and La Fiesta Square. It is a free community event aimed at younger kids who want a daylight, walkable Halloween; bring a treat bag and expect busy sidewalks. Dozens of local shops, restaurants, the Lafayette Library and kids' businesses took part last year.
