The Niles Main Street Association presents the Niles Festival of Lights Parade along a half-mile route through the tree-lined streets of Fremont's Historic Niles District, always on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The organizer's site describes the evening as the Niles Tree Lighting and Festival of Lights Parade and gives these rules: streets on the official route are closed from 4 PM to 9 PM; no chairs may be placed along the route until 12 noon on parade day (chairs set out before 6 AM are removed); fireworks are prohibited in Fremont and drones are not allowed over or near the route. The 2026 entry application deadline is October 20. The 2025 parade was the 24th annual.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
The organizer site does not print a calendar date; 2026-11-27 is derived from 'Always the Friday after Thanksgiving!' (Thanksgiving 2026 is November 26). The Fremont Police calendar lists Nov 27, 2026 6:30–8:00 PM but returned 403 to both WebFetch and curl. Start time, tree-lighting time and admission are not printed on the organizer site. The ZIP 94536 is the association's PO Box ZIP printed on the site; the exact route streets are not published.
