About this adventure
Expert Environmental Volunteers docents lead a 90-minute exploration of the science and nature of the Palo Alto Baylands. The low-impact hike looks at what makes the salt-marsh habitat special, how its plants and animals survive salty conditions, how it changes at different times of day and year, and how it can be protected. The walk is for ages 6 and up, with no children under 6, and children under 14 must come with a parent or guardian. It is not meant for large groups; groups of six or more are asked to book their own walk. The walks are free but space is limited, and EV strongly encourages advance registration through its Eventbrite link.
