Cottle and Lester Historic Ranch and Perimeter Trail Dedication at Martial Cottle Park

Martial Cottle Park celebrates finishing the first phase of its historic ranch project and a new section of perimeter trail. Families can walk the accessible paths around the Cottle and Lester Historic Ranch, stop at tour stations and try ranch activities such as cattle roping and cow milking, visit the composting education open house and help Our City Forest care for the arboretum. Kids can pick up a scavenger hunt at one of the information booths and find the answers along the new trail. Booths from County Parks, State Parks, 4-H, Master Gardeners and others are at the visitor center, with a coffee cart and food truck. The historic buildings themselves stay closed; no bikes or dogs inside the historic ranch area.
