About this adventure
Guadalupe River Park & Gardens is a ribbon of parkland along the Guadalupe River through downtown San José. Families can ride, walk, run or skate 2.6 miles of trails, look for wildlife along the river, and visit the public art. In the Guadalupe Gardens the Heritage Rose Garden holds 3,700 rose varieties and the Historic Orchard shows the fruit trees that made the valley famous; the Visitor & Education Center at 438 Coleman Avenue has local wildlife displays, maps and class sign-ups. The park also links Discovery Meadow beside the Children's Discovery Museum and Arena Green across from the SAP Center (the Children's Carousel there is currently not in service). Parking is at the Seymour Street lot off Coleman Avenue or Taylor Street.
