About this adventure
Tech or Treat is The Tech Interactive's annual not-too-scary Halloween day in downtown San Jose, pitched as a first trick-or-treat for little ones. Educators staff trick-or-treat stations throughout the museum handing out nut-free candy and non-food treats, and families can build a skeleton with moving linkages, pose at Halloween photo spots and explore the regular exhibits in costume. Extra-ticket add-ons include the Spooky Slime Workshop (11 a.m. and 2 p.m.), where kids mix glowing or glittery slime while learning the chemistry behind it, and Halloween laser shows in the IMAX Dome (4:30 and 5:15 p.m., plus a Stranger Things laser show at 6 p.m.). Members get a Static Electricity Ghosts workshop.
