Parks Tacoma (Metro Parks Tacoma)

A weekly, adult-paced nature walk for parents and guardians of babies 18 months and younger, led by a Parks Tacoma Park Guide in Point Defiance Park. Babies ride in carriers during the walk, and afterwards there is circle time when little ones can stretch their legs and play with other babies. Along the way the guide covers plant safety and how to weather-proof outdoor play dates in any season. Older siblings are welcome, every child must be with an adult, and restrooms are on site. Service animals are allowed but pets are not. The group meets at the Fort Nisqually Picnic Shelter every Wednesday at 10 am; no pre-registration is needed and the program is free.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation

Read via Cloudflare Browser Run (parkstacoma.gov shows a Cloudflare challenge to curl); dates and times cross-checked against the site's own Events Calendar JSON feed (/wp-json/tribe/events/v1/events), which prints America/Los_Angeles times. The calendar lists every Wednesday from Oct 21 through Dec 30, 2026. Address of the shelter is the Fort Nisqually venue address printed on the Point Defiance Youth Mushroom Hike page, which meets at the same shelter.
