A slow, child-led hike for early walkers and confident toddlers with Park Guide Jenn in Point Defiance Park. Children set the pace on an hour-long walk over uneven forest terrain, connecting with nature and picking up a quick lesson on plant safety and caring for the environment. Hikes go ahead rain or shine, so dress the kids for the weather. All children must be accompanied by an adult, older siblings are welcome, and the closest restrooms are at the Fort Nisqually picnic shelter where the group meets. Service animals are permitted, pets are not. Free, with no pre-registration.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Read via Cloudflare Browser Run (parkstacoma.gov shows a Cloudflare challenge to curl); dates and times cross-checked against the site's own Events Calendar JSON feed (/wp-json/tribe/events/v1/events), which prints America/Los_Angeles times. The calendar lists Fridays Nov 6, 2026 through Jan 15, 2027 (the Oct 30 walk is marked CANCELLED; Oct 23 was a 'Beach Day' edition). The feed gives 10 am–12 pm while the page says hikes last about an hour.
