An hour-long family nature walk in Point Defiance Park that looks at the park from a child's point of view: participants discover the plants and animals that live there and how they adapt as the seasons change, with fall colours as the theme. Recommended for ages 3 and up, the walk moves slowly over uneven terrain and goes ahead rain or shine, so dress for the weather. All children must be accompanied by an adult; service animals are permitted but pets are not. It is free, with online sign-up. Meet at the Fort Nisqually Picnic Shelter, where the closest restrooms are.
