School of Rock Seattle in Greenwood runs performance-based music programs for kids. Rookies, for children with no musical experience (typically ages 6-7), is one weekly group lesson covering chords, rhythm and song structure while trying multiple instruments; students who finish the Little Wing preschool program progress into Rookies. Rock 101 (typically ages 8-13, no prior experience needed) combines weekly private lessons on guitar, bass, drums, keys or vocals with weekly band rehearsals toward a live performance, before students move on to the Performance Program. The school also offers 1-2 day fall music camps and holiday-break winter camps for preschoolers (3-5), kids (6-12) and teens (13-17). Tuition is not published on the site; families enroll through the location.
