About this adventure
Madeira Beach's 60th annual Festival of Lights turns the town's finger canals into a holiday parade route as decorated, lighted boats cruise from ROC Park through the city to John's Pass. Families have two good places to watch: ROC Park hosts the kickoff party on the seawall with live music and a Merry Market for holiday shopping, while John's Pass Village offers holiday music, shops and a later look at the boats as they arrive. The parade starts at 6:15 PM and wraps up around 8:30 to 9 PM, so younger kids may prefer the early ROC Park start. Boaters who want to enter can register online starting in November 2026 and must stop by the Madeira Beach Municipal Marina to pick up a boat number; more than $5,000 in cash prizes go to the best-decorated entries.
