Boo-Fest is the City of Alexandria's free family Halloween party at the Charles Houston Recreation Center on Friday, October 30, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Children come dressed up for a costume parade, then move on to carnival games, a moon bounce, arts and crafts and spooky stories, among other activities. The city calls it a spooky festival fit for the entire family. Admission is free, and the event page links to the city's online registration, so sign up in advance. The recreation center is at 901 Wythe Street in Alexandria.
