Herndon Parks & Recreation presents the Herndon High School Homecoming Parade through downtown Herndon on a Saturday morning. The 2026 theme is Hollywood Through the Years, with movie-themed floats, marching bands, school groups, community organizations and local businesses. It is a classic hometown parade and an easy family outing: find a spot along the route around Elden, Locust, Station and Spring Streets and expect the parade to start at 9:30 a.m., with the route reopening around 1 p.m. Lynn Street closes at 6:30 a.m. for staging and the other downtown streets at 8 a.m., so plan to park outside the closure area and walk in.
