Roots to Rocks Bike Park Day at Wheaton Regional Park is a free afternoon of riding with Montgomery Parks' Roots to Rocks coaches on Sunday, November 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. Riders "session" the bike park features and progressive jumps and get individualized skills tips, and it is a good way to meet other riders and build skills. It is for ages 6 and up, and riders must already know how to ride a bicycle. Closed-toe shoes and a water bottle are required, sunscreen and bike gloves are recommended, and a limited number of loaner bikes and helmets are available against collateral. Register through the event page. The same coaches lead a group mountain bike ride at Wheaton that morning from 10 a.m. to noon. Wheaton Regional Park is at 2000 Shorefield Road, Wheaton.
