Meadowside Nature Center's Toddler Time on Wednesday, November 11 is about squirrels and chipmunks, which collect thousands of acorns each fall to get through the winter. A naturalist leads the group on a stroll through the forest to look for these fuzzy neighbors, and the hour, from 10 to 11 a.m., includes activities planned for children aged 2 to 4. The fee is $7, and registration is through Montgomery Parks' online system, linked from the event page. The program includes a walk in the woods, so dress the child for being outdoors. Meadowside Nature Center is at 5100 Meadowside Lane, Rockville.
