Trick or Treat on Legion Field — Covington

About this adventure

The City of Covington and the Covington YMCA hold their annual Halloween afternoon on Legion Field on Saturday, October 31, starting at 2 p.m. The event gives Newton County families a safe, contained place to trick-or-treat: the afternoon start means children in costume trick-or-treat in daylight, which suits toddlers and preschoolers who are not ready for evening door-to-door trick-or-treating. Because it falls on Halloween itself, families can still go out in their neighborhoods afterward. Bring a bag or bucket for candy and plan for parking near Legion Field on Mill Street. Covington is about 35 miles east of downtown Atlanta along I-20.
