About this adventure
In the quiet days between Christmas and New Year's, the Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville runs a two-day drop-in art studio in its Borderlands Classroom. On December 29 and 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, visitors of all ages can come in and make art during the school holiday break, with no sign-up required. The studio is free with museum admission, so families pay their regular entry and the art-making is included. Adults must stay with their children at all times. It is a low-key indoor option for a winter-break day: children can try a project, then walk the museum's Western art galleries, and come back to the studio if they want another round. Check the museum's website for admission prices and holiday hours before visiting.
