The Children's Museum of New Hampshire in Dover rings in the new year before bedtime with two ticketed family sessions on New Year's Eve: a morning event from 9:00 to 11:30 am with a countdown at 10:30, and an afternoon event from 12:30 to 3:00 pm with a countdown at 2:00. At each countdown the museum lowers its glittery disco ball, confetti flies and wish blimps made by visitors float to the ground. Throughout the session kids make sparkly recycled-paper hats, pose in front of a New Year backdrop and play in all the museum's exhibits. It suits babies through early elementary children. Reservations and pre-payment are required; the museum closes early at 3 pm on New Year's Eve and is closed New Year's Day.
